UGC India is a marketplace platform that connects brands with User-Generated Content (UGC) creators in India. The platform enables brands to discover, hire, and manage creators for content campaigns, and provides tools for social media scheduling, email marketing, wallet payments, and campaign analytics.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect:

  • Name and email address when you sign in
  • Basic profile information (name, email, profile picture)

2.2 Google User Data

When you connect your Google account, we access:

  • Your email address
  • Permission to send emails via Gmail (gmail.send scope)

We do NOT access or read your Gmail inbox or existing emails.

2.3 Social Media Data (Meta / Instagram)

When you connect your Instagram/Facebook account, we may access:

  • Account ID and profile information
  • Access tokens required for API usage
  • Permissions necessary to perform actions like posting or automation

2.4 Usage Data

We may collect:

  • App usage information
  • Device/browser details
  • Logs and performance data

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to:

  • Authenticate your account
  • Enable sending emails via Gmail
  • Enable social media automation features
  • Provide and improve our services
  • Communicate updates
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

4. Google User Data Usage (IMPORTANT)

Our application complies with Google API Services User Data Policy.

We use Gmail access strictly for:

  • Sending emails on behalf of the user when explicitly triggered

We explicitly confirm:

  • We do NOT read Gmail inbox data
  • We do NOT store or backup Gmail emails
  • We do NOT share Google user data with third parties
  • We do NOT use data for advertising, profiling, or AI training

All access is limited to user-initiated actions.

5. Meta (Instagram/Facebook) Data Usage

We use Meta APIs only to:

  • Manage connected social media accounts
  • Execute user-defined automation (posting, scheduling, etc.)

We do NOT sell or misuse social media data.

5A. Payment Data (Razorpay)

UGC India uses Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited) to process all payments on the Platform. When you make a payment:

  • Payment card details, UPI IDs, and bank account information are entered directly on Razorpay's secure payment page and are never transmitted to or stored on UGC India's servers.
  • We receive from Razorpay only a payment reference ID, order ID, payment status, and the transaction amount — sufficient to credit your wallet.
  • Transaction records (amount, date, status, Razorpay payment ID) are stored in our database linked to your account for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Your name and email address may be shared with Razorpay as part of the payment flow to pre-fill checkout fields.

Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your data.

We may share data only:

  • With infrastructure/service providers (under strict agreements)
  • With Google or Meta APIs as required for functionality
  • If required by law
  • To protect our legal rights

7. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • HTTPS encryption
  • Secure storage of tokens
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular monitoring

8. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data is retained only as long as necessary
  • Users can disconnect Google/Meta accounts anytime
  • Tokens are deleted upon disconnection

We use:

  • Google APIs (Gmail) — governed by Google's Privacy Policy

  • Cloudflare R2 (file storage) — governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
